Stacia is a sassy two-year old black and red spayed female. We have had her
in one of our foster homes for three months, and she has come a long
way from the shy girl we first saw when we took her in.
A comic at heart, this silly girl will keep you laughing even as she
tries to push at you and see what she can get away with! Yes, she is
quite a character that will keep you on your toes and would do best
with a strong leader who appreciates a "smart as a whip" dog who will
need to be challenged both mentally and physically. Did I mention that
she likes to run? And run and run and run! She has a high energy level
and will need that energy to be run off daily in order to keep her
(and her new family) happy. A good sized fenced-in yard will be in
order for this girl, as well as a feline-free home - not too fond of
them it seems. We do believe that another confident dog would be okay
for her.
Stacia is a big beautiful girl with tons of potential
who is just dying for someone to take notice. Sure, she has some
issues that need to be addressed but nothing that time, training and
consistent leadership can't fix! For instance, she loves to go for
walks but will bark at other dogs and people. She warms up to most
people but shows others her timid side at introductions. Her foster
mom is working on these issues, and she is getting better every day.
She also suffers from separation anxiety and doesn't do well for long
periods of time alone. Her foster mom is crate training her and
although she hasn't taken a liking to it, we hope that it will help
her to learn some boundaries and enable her to grow more confident and
secure each day.
At only two years of age, Stacia is a sweet adolescent who has plenty
of time to become the well-mannered companion that we believe she can
be. If Stacia sounds like your kind of dog, please give us a call. |
