Kira's Buddy says,

Kira's come a long way since she and another dog were found late one night abandoned in a parking lot disoriented and really thin.  A good Samaritan opened her van door and forever changed the lives of these two beautiful animals.  Now Kira is spending her time in foster care waiting  for her forever home to come and adopt her.

Kira's  a pretty white shepherd with lots of love to give.  Her foster mom says she wriggles with delight, just as a puppy would, whenever she returns home from running errands.  She is delighted to welcome home her foster parent, even though she jumps at any chance to be the co-pilot and go along in the car.

Kira is incredibly treat-driven, which this is wonderful, as it will be easy to teach her more than the basic commands she already knows.  She also  loves tennis balls, who doesn't really? She adores spending a little quality time with her foster parents playing fetch.   She really loves people and meeting new people, however her tendency to overbear and dominate other dogs means that she would do best in a home where she is the only dog.  Kira seems to really cherish the one-on-one companionship with her foster parents and will be a loyal and close companion to someone looking for just that in a dog.

Her dominance of other dogs does not seem to  carry over to cats and displays tenderness with the cat at her foster home.  The cat has even been caught on occasion licking  Kira's face clean.

Kira will be happiest in a home that has plenty of time for her, as she appears to get highly stressed when crated for too long.  She truly just wants to be with her person and is unhappy and anxious when she cannot be with them.  Kira wants a home that will always be there for her and will enjoy her desire to be near them.  If Kira sounds like the perfect friend you've been waiting for then please give us a call.
