Still Healing

"As I recovered, tranquil outdoor activities would help prevent boredom."

"For instance, during my first week home, we picked up fellow volunteer Priscilla and her
GSRNE dog Tara and drove to a park for some serenity and morning coffee."

"We spent lots of time just people-watching as I couldn't move much yet."

"In fact, Tara did most of the work for both of us that day."

"I needed lots of support at this point, even just to move to the grassy area would take some effort."

"I watched as the American flag waved hello to me."

"I checked out the budding flowers."

"And I enjoyed grooming myself in the fresh air."

"Thank-you for helping me, auntie Priscilla."

"I'll let you know if I need to get up and stretch, again, ok?"

"Hey, Vanessa, are you holding up ok?"

"Naw. Sorry, Tara, but I think this will be a very short day today."
